| Community Service Project: Young Marines
will assist race organizers with activities for the 3M
Half Marathon contestants in downtown Austin. When: Sunday, 29 January 2012 Where: Meet at the red HEB tent in the parking lot next to the finish line. This year the race finishes at the corner of North Congress Avenue and 17th Street in downtown Austin, not Waterloo Park. North Congress and 17th is between the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum and the Texas Capitol Building in downtown Austin. (Map) What Time: 0900 ( 9:00 A.M. ) to 1200 ( 12:00 P.M. ). This is a community service project. The Young Marines will assist runners finishing the race. We usually finish this event around 1200. Please e-mail or call Mr. Hill if you're attending this event. We need a preliminary head count. If you live in the Round Rock, north Austin, or Pflugerville area please call Mr. Hill if you need a ride. We'll arrange a place to meet and pick you up. Young Marines - please bring enough money for noon chow (lunch) and any snacks you might get along the way. |
