Click here to go to the National Just For Young Marines page.  Here you can learn about upcoming events and scholarship opportunities and view your personal Young Marines Record Book.

Your Young Marines Record Book has all the information regarding your attendance, PFT scores, promotions, ribbons, and community service hours.

Your record book is an important part of the application process for Leadership Schools and therefore it is very important that it has as much information as possible.  In addition to your Young Marines participation, you should have your school and church activities included as well.  If you receive an award at school, or you participate in a sports league, or you volunteer with your church, it is important to forward that information to Mrs. Bristol to add to your record book.  Check your record book occassionally to make sure it is up to date.

Once you log into your record book, be sure to sign up for the Broadcast Emails from National Headquarters.

YOUNG MARINE OBLIGATION:

From this day forward, I sincerely promise, I will set an example for all other youth to follow, and I shall never do anything that would bring disgrace or dishonor upon my God, my Country, and its flag, my parents, myself, or the Young Marines.  These I will honor and respect in a manner that will reflect credit upon them and myself.  Semper Fidelis

YOUNG MARINE CREED:

1)  Obey my parents and all others in charge of me whether young or old.

2)  Keep myself neat at all times without other people telling me to.

3)  Keep myself clean in mind by attending the church of my faith.

4)  Keep my mind alert to learn in school, at home, or at play.

5)  Remember having self-discipline will enable me to control my body and
     mind in case of an emergency.

YOUNG MARINE HYMN:
  (sung to the tune of the Marine Corps Hymn)

From the North and from the South we'll come
From the East and from the West
We will all enlist in the Young Marines
And forever do our best

From the halls of all our grammar schools
To the shores of all our lakes
We will be the fine Young Marines
No matter what it takes

Let the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts march
Let the Cub Scouts strut and beam
Oh, you haven't seen the greatest yet
Till you've seen the Young Marines

We salute the sailor boys in blue
And the Army in their greens
We are proud to bear the title of
The U.S. Young Marines

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:

I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

NATIONAL ANTHEM:

Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed, at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming,
And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there,
Oh say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free, and the home of brave.

UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS HYMN

From the halls of Montezuma,
To the shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.

Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From the dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far-off northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job
The United States Marines.

Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And have never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.
