"STRENGTHENING THE LIVES OF AMERICA'S YOUTH"
Capital Area Young Marines is the local unit for the Young Marines of the Marine Corps League. Our mission is to guide the youth of today as they grow into the adults of tomorrow.
The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership, and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Our primary focus is Drug Demand Reduction, (DDR).
Our unit serves boys and girls, ages 8 through completion of high school across Central Texas. Our service area stretches from Killeen, Temple and through south of San Antonio, Johnson City, Fredericksburg, through east of College Station and Brenham, Texas. Most of our currently enrolled Young Marines live in the Austin area.

Through the dedication of our team of volunteer instructors; we nurture the leadership skills, discipline, self-confidence, perseverance and drive that is needed to be successful in an ever changing world.

Training the Leaders of Tomorrow
Through the dedication of our team of volunteer instructors; we nurture the leadership skills, discipline, self-confidence, perseverance and drive that is needed to be successful in an ever-changing world.
We work to train the mind and body as well as providing moral guidance through the sharing of community outreach and service opportunities that draw our youth closer to the people of their community.
We work with parents to create a program of self-improvement and personal accountability in the home, in school, and in the community.
